Jennifer Young

Jennifer Young, PharmD, BCPS, CSP, is the Lead Medication Safety Specialist at the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP). Since joining ISMP in 2023, she has enhanced the ISMP Medication Safety Specialty Pharmacy Membership offerings. In her current role, Jen develops and supports Memberships, contributes to the ISMP Medication Safety Alert!® Community/Ambulatory newsletter and participates in risk assessments within community and specialty pharmacy settings. Jen currently serves as an elected Certified Director on the Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board (SPCB) and is a member of the URAC Accreditation Pharmacy Advisory Council. Jen earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She is board certified in pharmacotherapy and is a certified specialty pharmacist.
